Touquoy has been expanded to an open-pittable resource of 656,000 ounces of gold with exciting upside and favourable mining and processing characteristics. A major step towards bringing the Touquoy Gold Project into production was achieved on 1 February 2008 when environmental approval was granted by the Nova Scotia Minister for Environment. A 60% interest has been earned and Atlantic Gold has an option to earn up to 75% interest in the project.

The Cochrane Hill property is located 80 km east of Atlantic Gold's Touquoy Gold Project and secures 5 km of highly prospective terrain. The Cochrane Hill resource has been upgraded to 10.1 million tonnes @ 1.7 g/t for 549,000 contained ounces of gold. A resource development drilling program is underway to determine the most profitable approach to accessing this resource.
